Children’s Swim Lesson Franchise Will Occupy 8,100 SF at Eastman-Managed Shopping Center

LIVINGSTON, N.J. – Goldfish Swim School has leased 8,100 square feet at The Fresh Market Shoppes at the Livingston Circle in Livingston, N.J., marking the continued expansion of the swim lesson franchise in key markets throughout the United States. The 93,000-square-foot shopping center, located at 277 Eisenhower Parkway, is managed and developed by Livingston-based Eastman Companies.

The transaction was negotiated by Florian Suserman of Ripco Real Estate for Eastman Companies. Charles Ritschel of Newmark Real Estate represented the tenant.

Goldfish Swim School rounds out a strong mix of retailers, restaurants and service providers, and solidifies The Fresh Market Shoppes at the Livingston Circle as a “one-stop shopping” destination for the entire family, according to Peter Schofel, Eastman’s managing partner.

“This lease signing illustrates the growing trend of non-traditional tenants seeking space at successful retail properties,” he said. “The Fresh Market Shoppes at the Livingston Circle’s visibility, co-tenancy and accessible parking proved to be a winning combination for this franchise owner. We are confident that Goldfish Swim School will be a tremendous asset to both the center and the local community.”

Goldfish Swim School provides year-round swim lessons for children age 4 months through 12 years, as well as family swim time, private use of the facility for birthday parties and the opportunity for youngsters to join a recreational swim team. The state-of-the-art Livingston facility will have a 78-foot pool, and a windowed viewing gallery where parents can relax, work and watch their children swim.

Goldish Swim School’s unique “Perpetual Lessons” model focuses on teaching swim and safety skills while building character, said Jeff Posner, who co-owns the Livingston franchise along with his wife, Larisa. “Goldfish Swim School has a special way of making the swim lesson experience exactly what every child and parent wants it to be. The new Livingston location will offer flexible class schedules and an experienced staff of trained and certified swim instructors. Water and pool area air temperatures will be kept at a comfortable 90 degrees, and an advanced water purification system will ensure the pool is consistently clean and sanitary.
