August 10, 2017

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Members of the Friends of the Livingston Animal Shelter recognized Eastman Companies at the Livingston Township Council meeting on Monday for its constant support of the Livingston Animal Shelter.

Eastman Companies, the full-service real estate development, construction and management company that manages the Shoppes at the Livingston Circle, recently hosted the third annual Livingston Pet Adoption Expo. The event raised $550 for local animal shelters and rescue groups, including the Friends of the Livingston Animal Shelter.

A total of nine dogs and cats found their forever homes during the event.

“Eastman is one of our more high-profile tenants in town and one of the best neighbors that we have, but they do more for the community,” the outgoing chairman of the committee said. “They feel some of the things that the community needs, they reach out to the community and they’re very generous with the assets that they have and they even try to get their tenants and people that the work with convinced that some of the things that need to be supported in town are worthwhile.”

On behalf of Eastman Companies, Peter Schofel, Eastman’s managing partner, thanked the members of Friends as well as the mayor and council for recognizing their dedication and accomplishments over the years.
