Premier Class-A Office Complex Recognized for Excellence in Building Management

LIVINGSTON, N.J., Oct. 30, 2014 – Eastman Management Corp., a division of Eastman Companies, has announced Eisenhower Corporate Campus in Livingston has received 2014’s “The Outstanding Building of the Year” (TOBY) honor in the “250,000 to 499,999- square-foot” category from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of New Jersey. Eisenhower Corporate Campus is the company’s premier Class-A office complex located at 290 W. Mount Pleasant Ave. in the Essex County township.

Eastman was recognized at BOMA’s recent Annual TOBY Awards reception held at Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park. The state chapter’s winners qualify for BOMA’s 2014-2015 Regional Awards competition, being held next spring.

BOMA New Jersey’s annual “TOBY” Award is the most prestigious and comprehensive award of its kind in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing quality in office buildings and rewarding excellence in office building management. Every facet of a building’s operations are evaluated as part of the judging criteria, including site management practices, emergency planning/procedures, tenant services, operational efficiency, accessibility, green building initiatives and community involvement, among others.

This is the second time BOMA has honored Eisenhower Corporate Campus with a TOBY Award. The business campus earned top honors in the “Best Managed Building Complex” category in 1999.

“Receiving this award is a tremendous honor and it reinforces Eisenhower Corporate Campus’ stature as a premier headquarters-quality, high-energy level business address in Northern New Jersey,” said Michael Schofel, Eastman’s co-managing partner. “We strive to incorporate the industry’s best practices into the operating plan for all our properties. This recognition is a testament to our team’s hard work and commitment to excellence in property management.”

Eisenhower Corporate Campus, comprised of four interconnecting buildings set on 33.5 acres of exquisitely landscaped grounds, is one of Northern New Jersey’s most centrally located Class-A office facilities. Its multi-million dollar infrastructure includes major amenities such as a conference center and 220-seat auditorium with state-of-the-art audio and video equipment, a full-service cafeteria and a staffed full-service fitness center. Situated within minutes of Newark Liberty International Airport and New York City, the campus is easily accessible to all major highways, including interstates 280, 80, 287, the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway.

“Amid stiff competition from properties owned and managed by other key players in our industry, we are very proud of what our team has been able – and continues – to accomplish,” added Peter Schofel, Eastman’s co-managing partner. “Receiving this TOBY Award demonstrates to current and future tenants that Eisenhower Corporate Campus is being managed to the highest standard of excellence.”

Headquartered in Livingston, N.J., Eastman Companies and its affiliated companies have been in business for 36 years and are recognized leaders in high-quality real estate developments with property throughout Northern New Jersey.
