Fitness, Dining and Conference Facility Enhancements Create Vibrant ‘Work/Life’ Environment for Tenants
LIVINGSTON, N.J. – Today’s workforce is dominated by the millennial generation, and creating office environments that allow workers to achieve greater work/life balance is paramount for commercial property owners. Real estate owner, developer and manager Eastman Companies recently completed a series of amenity upgrades throughout its Livingston office portfolio, designed to add value to its properties while helping attract and retain tenants.
At Eisenhower Plaza, a new Amenity Court includes the addition of 354fit, a tenant-only fitness center. The facility features a full range of cardio and strength training equipment, showers and key card access. Eisenhower Plaza is also home to Living Fitness, which offers personal training and studio Pilates sessions by appointment. The building’s conference center has been revamped and renovations to the café are scheduled to be completed by year’s end. The café will double in size to accommodate about 150 people and a grill will be added to expand hot menu options.
Eisenhower Corporate Campus (ECC), Eastman’s award-winning 380,000-square-foot office complex, has gained a new fitness amenity with the addition of Hills Fit Studio. The indoor cycling studio features approximately 20 stationary spin cycles and enhances ECC’s existing services, which include a professionally supervised tenant-only fitness center and personal training by It’s Beyond Fitness. Additional on-site amenities include appointment-only massage services from New Jersey Massage; high-tech conference facilities; a full-service cafeteria; covered parking; and electric car-charging stations.
Amenities upgrades at Camelot, located at 70 South Orange Avenue, include the café and a conference center that seats up to 50 people and features an LCD overhead projector and Wi-Fi access. The café offers catering for on-site corporate events and meetings.
Other portfolio enhancements include construction of a new conference facility and full service café at Eastman Office Center. Future enhancements here include upgrades to the building’s first and second floor lobbies.
“These improvements raise the bar for suburban office amenities and reflect our commitment to creating exceptional work environments for current and future tenants,” said Michael Schofel, Eastman’s managing partner. “Investing in our properties is also having a positive impact on leasing efforts throughout our entire office portfolio. Between July and September, we completed 60,000 square feet of transactions comprised of both new leases and renewals.”
