LIVINGSTON, N.J., – Eastman Companies has completed over 150,000 square feet of transactions across its office and retail portfolio from January through September 2018. The Livingston, N.J.-based commercial real estate owner, developer and manager continues to invest in upgrades across its office and retail portfolios, adding unique opportunities for tenants and consumers.

Exceptional Office Environments for a Diverse Mix of Tenants
Eastman’s investment in office upgrades has been a key driver, attracting and retaining a diverse mix of tenants. “From accounting, legal and brokerage firms to healthcare service providers and not-for-profits, organizations are looking for exceptional environments that encourage workers to be more productive and find balance,” said Schofel.
Eastman’s portfolio of enhancements varies from expanding and upgrading onsite conference facilities and cafes to updating and renovating lobbies and open space. “Exclusive health and wellness amenities have extended beyond fitness centers to include services such as personal training and by-appointment massage,” noted Schofel.
According to Eastman’s director of leasing, Eric J. Maurer, the volume and variety of office transactions at Eastman properties range from 800 to 18,000 square feet. Leasing highlights for 2018 include The Cooper Companies and Reprogentics LLC, a genetic research and testing firm that renewed and expanded at 3 Regent Park; and a new lease for AHS Hospital Corporation at 5 Regent Park. The Zitter Group, a healthcare research firm, renewed and expanded its lease at Eisenhower Corporate Campus (290 W. Mt. Pleasant).
Additional activity involved several law firms and health care companies. Ziegler & Zemsky LLC, relocated its Livingston offices to Eastman Office Center (651 Old Mt. Pleasant) and expanded with the move. National law firm Becker, LLC renewed and expanded its lease at 354 Eisenhower Parkway and Vitas Healthcare Corp. renewed and expanded at 70 South Orange Avenue. Northeast Facial and Oral Surgery Specialists, LLC signed a new lease at Florham Park Medical Center.
Retail Tenants Offer a Lifestyle-Focused Customer Experience
Robust leasing activity at Eastman’s retail properties exemplified the trend towards lifestyle-oriented local and national businesses seeking space at strategically located properties.
At The Shoppes at the Livingston Circle, the fast-growing supermarket chain Aldi celebrated its grand opening in November, bringing Livingston residents a faster and easier grocery shopping experience. The 93,000-square-foot shopping center has also welcomed Club Pilates, which has been operational since June, as well as 24-hour gym and fitness franchise Fitness 1440, full-service hair salon chain Moxie Blowdry & Beauty Bar, and Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids, all of which expect to open later this fall.

In addition, Dari Event Planners renewed its lease at 312 Montclair and national sub sandwich franchise Blimpie renewed its lease at Lyons Plaza.
