Peter Schofel, President of Eastman Companies, the Livingston-based development-management organization, this week announced lease signings and expansion of existing space by tenants totaling more than 20,000 square feet in Eastman’s Class A office facility located at 70 South Orange Avenue, Livingston. Also known as Eisenhower Plaza South, the 80,0000 square foot building has recently undergone major renovations to the lobbies, common areas, bathrooms and parking areas along with major landscaping upgrades.

According to Mr. Schofel, “The recent growth track of our existing tenants with smaller sized office suites, more specifically attorneys, accountants and other professionals, depicts a pattern of expansion before the expiration of their leases. This is the pattern at Eisenhower Plaza South where a number of our existing tenants have shown a preference to expand within the facility rather seek space elsewhere.” Mr. Schofel projected an upbeat picture of the North Jersey office market, noting that new leases have also been signed for space in the building and this, plus the leasing activity at Eastman’s other office buildings in Essex and Morris Counties, bodes well for the market in the upcoming months.

The new leases include: Horizon Point Wealth Management Co. leased 1,780 square feet on the building’s second floor; Borteck & Sanders, LLP, Attorneys at Law, leased 1,800 square feet with construction of new offices to begin shortly; Everly Originals, LLC, leased 3,645 square feet; and Benjamin DelVento and Associates’ law firm, leased in excess of 3,000 square feet. Vitas Healthcare Corporation of Pennsylvania and W.S. Vogel Insurance Agency expanded their existing space in Eisenhower Plaza South to 6,295 square feet and 5,800 square feet respectively. Eric J. Maurer, Director of Leasing for Eastman Companies, represented the company for each of the leasing transactions, while Christian Politan of Cushman & Wakefield represented Everly Originals, LLC, and Melissa Conoly of CB Richard Ellis was the broker of record for Vitas Healthcare Corporation of Pennsylvania.

Eisenhower Plaza South boasts a tenant roster that is comprised of many of the finest professional and corporate names in the region. The facility provides tenants with a prestigious address and a productive business environment that includes number of amenities so vital to doing business in today’s highly technical and complex business environment. Located only minutes from Route I-280, the site is in close proximity to the Livingston Route 10 circle, I-287, and the Garden State Parkway. The Short Hills and Livingston shopping malls and a variety of hotels, conference centers and restaurants are all nearby as are the County Seats of Morris and Essex Counties, reflecting convenience and accessibility to local shopping and professional services, seats of government, and important surrounding markets. Limited space in Eisenhower Plaza South is available.
