Community

We strive not only to “create better places” by providing exemplary places to work, shop and live, we work to enhance those communities in which we serve.

Eastman Companies has a long history of community service. We strive not only to “create better places” by providing exemplary places to work, shop and live, we work to enhance those communities in which we serve. Eastman encourages its employees to participate in community events sponsorsed by Eastman, but also take that spirit of volunteerism to their homes and neighborhoods.

Both our company and our employees have also been active in The Alfa Club, The Jewish Community Center, Juvenile Diabetes, Daughters of Israel Geriatric Center, Israel Bonds Board, the YMCA local Board of Management, The Valerie Fund, American Cancer Society, Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, local PTAs as well as some of the following, hightlighted below:

Livingston Arts Council

Village Art Gallery and the ACL Art Gallery – The Village Art Gallery is located at the Village Shopping Center while the ACL Art Gallery is located at Livingston Town Center in heart of downtown Livingston, NJ. The Galleries were donated to the Livingston Arts Council by Eastman and serve as havens for local artists and students to display their work. The exhibits are changed regularly and bring a great deal of culture to the shopping centers.

HCHY – Healthy Communities Health Youth

The Township of Livingston sponsors an annual Youth Appreciation Week part of HCHY – Healthy Community Health Youth – every May, the conclusion of which is marked by the renowned Cole Bros. Circus held the Eisenhower Corporate Campus, our most prominent facility. Each year, Eastman contributes the use of the venue, assists in the sponsorship of the circus and preparation of the site, all at no cost to the circus.

American Heart Association

Since 1998, we have been an avid fundraiser for the American Heart Association (AHA). Each year our employees, their families and their friends participate in the AHA’s annual “Heart Walk” as well as other fundraisers throughout the year, including “Have a Heart,” dedicated to friends and loved ones, and “Hearts in Bloom,” dedicated to supporting women in the fight against heart disease. The money raised goes directly towards community programs, cardiovascular education and research. To date, we have raised almost $125,000 for the American Heart Association and are looking forward to another year as one of Essex County’s top fundraisers.
